Grandfather
My Grandfather died when my Grandma was pregnant with my youngest aunt. My grandmother lived with her parents for awhile, then moved back into her own home with her 3 girls. They all, including my mom, have told me that house always seemed weird. Even after she got remarried and they moved out, they still own that house. I lived in it myself when I was 8-11 years old. I only know of one particular experience of theirs, and here it is along with my own: My mom, my Aunt, and I have all had similar "dreams". I recall thinking I was awake, but not being able to move. At that point, I thought I might really still be asleep and dreaming, so I tried to wake myself up. I could not. I think after that, I "went back to sleep (?)". This happened to both of them as well. When you enter that house, you can feel something that just doesn't feel right. Even when it is bright outside and all the lights are turned on, it seems dark and depressing. A picture of my grandfather was in the room that I slept in. Perhaps it was just my childish imagination, but I always thought that, not only was he usually looking right at me, but that his eyes would move. I finally begged for it to be taken out because it scared me. Also, I know that animals sometimes chase things that you cannot see, but my cats would CONSTANTLY play with and bat at seemingly imaginary things. I have a video of my friends and I where my cat is doing flips and stuff and looking like it is playing with some yarn or something. Now here are the REALLY weird things: I would sit in our den, and play with my dollhouse, or as I got older, watch TV. Sometimes, I would here a man whistling. I would always run immediately into the back, and then even into the front yard, and NEVER saw any sign of someone being there. Of course, as SOON as I stepped outside of the house, it would stop. And the thing that is the most freaky and abnormal; one day I was playing outside when I saw some little boys walking down the creek behind me. They were pushing aside tree branches and talking. I yelled HELLO to them several times and never got an answer. When I walked closer and looked up and down the creek, it was like they had just vanished. They didn't have any time to walk or even run far enough down or back, or anywhere else to go, except over my fence. I never saw them again. Perhaps just strange coincidences, or maybe that house is really haunted. Possibly by my own grandfather. I haven’t met any of the people that lived there after me, but I also don't know of any that stayed very long at all.
