Night Visitor
Okay, this didn't happen to me, but before our family moved (once our house got built) we used to live in a trailer (which is like 10 feet from where we live now because we have a lot of land). Well anyway, one night my parents got into a fight and my mom slept out in the living room and my dad slept in his room. That night my dad was sleeping in his room when he woke up to go to the bathroom. As he returned to his room and laid down his bedroom door slammed shut. He thought it was the wind that blew the door shut so he laid there all alone in the dark. Not but two minutes later he said he got these cold chills, so he pulled the covers tighter over him. About ten minutes later he said he looked up and saw a figure that was floating with a blue sailor dress looking at him smiling. He said the figure looked very familiar to him. He said the figure stood over him for about a minute, if that, and then disappeared. He said he thought he was dreaming it so I just fell asleep. The next morning the door was still shut from what he thought was the wind but when he looked over at the windows they were closed tightly. He decided to tell my grandma what he saw and to his amazement he found out it was his great aunt. He was about six or so when she died and never went to her funeral, only his mom did. He described the outfit that she wore and my grandma sad that was the dress that she was buried in. My grandma thinks that she just came to pay a visit on my dad because that used to be one of her favorite nephews. Ever since then my dad has not seen or heard of that spirit ever again. That was about ten years ago when I was six, but now I’m sixteen. Is that weird or what? Not my mom, brother, or me woke up that night when the door slammed shut.
